I'm a little annoyed pissed off disappointed that I didn't manage to fulfill my required units this semester (so far). I only have 17 units (+ PE and CWTS); I need 20. Three more. I need a GE. Not just any GE, but an MST or an SSP. I had to cancel my MST and SSP because of Chem. I stood in line for three days to get both lec and lab of Biochem. (Why is word "three" underlined? Because the title's Three. Hahaha!) The weird thing is, I have to pay 2XXXX for 17 units this semester. During my first sem in UP, I also had to pay roughly the same amount! But I had 19 units (+ PE) back then. Ghad, those lab fees are so high! I never paid much attention to them before, but now, WOAH. This blog was supposed to be a rant about the enrollment, but I just don't have the energy to think, much less blog, about my four-day enrollment. I haven't even paid yet! But the good news is, classes start next week instead of tomorrow! Yay! Anyway, today's a pretty eventful day. The three most important events (for me) that happend today are: (1) finished enrolling, finally; (2) our house got flooded (for the second effing time!); and (3) LOLO TURNED 94 TODAY! Since I will not bother to explain number two, let's go ahead and jump to the number three. HAPPY 94TH BIRTHDAY, LOLO! WE LOVE YOU! Yeah! We ate dinner at Lolo's (where we used to live). For a 94-year-old man, Lolo's quite strong (IMO, at least). He can still read, he can still walk (he needs help though), he's still... functional, to say the least. Oh yeah, he still teases us, his grandchildren. Haha! Lolo: Anong araw ngayon? Me: Monday po. Lolo: Petsa! Anong petsa? Me: June 8 po. Lolo: Birthday ko pala! Me: Oo nga po... Lolo: 95 na ako! Me: Lolo, di ba 94 pa lang po kayo? Lolo: Hindi, 95 na ako! Hmmm. Okay, Lolo. Haha! When he read what was written on the cake (Happy 94th birthday, Lolo! Love, Una, Gundy, Tria, Joaquin, and PJ), the first thing he said was "95 na ako!" Hehe. Lola (and everyone else) laughed as Dad tried to explain to Lolo that he was born on 1915, making him 94 years old. Hey, he's old already! Next year, Lolo will be right on track (unless he insists he's 96). |
